OCTOBER 4-10, 1998: To kick off the "Maps and History," introduced scans from the 1960 Rand McNally atlas covering the New York City metro area. These scans, which make up the "New York 1960" collection, were provided by Dave Schul, the president of the Road Map Collectors of America.

JUNE 1, 1998: On the one-year anniversary of "The Roads of Metro New York, announced development of "The Crossings of Metro New York," a new site devoted to the bridge and tunnel crossings of the New York metropolitan area. The format is similar to the "Roads" site, divided into "The Bridges," "The Tunnels" and "The Unbuilt." The "Crossings" uses new space acquired through Xoom.
